NEW GREAT HALL FOR:
SAINT MARK'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH
BOONSBORO, MARYLAND
COMPLETION DATE: 2011
$1,490,000 | 6,300 SF
Presently the congregation worships in a small stone church dating to the late 1800’s. Although charming, it is too small for most services and an outdated parish hall does not adequately accommodate performances and assemblies. The new two story Great Hall connected to the parish hall features a large assembly room for worship and gatherings on the upper level and classrooms on the lower level.
The massing of the building reflects back to the original stone church with high sloped roof, decorative shaped windows, and stone veneer to match the native field stone. Green initiatives include geothermal heating and cooling.
